All writing on this site is by Barbi Walker-Walsh and is © Barbi Walker-Walsh, 2010 to the present. You are welcome to quote briefly with attribution and a link, as anyone would in the ordinary course of writing about writing. Work that first appeared elsewhere

Much of the journalism collected here was originally commissioned and published by other titles. Each piece carries a line saying where and when it first ran, and where the original remains online the page links to it as the canonical version. First publication rights belong to those titles, and this archive is maintained as a writer’s record of her own bylined work.

Some of these publications no longer exist. Wrangler News closed and its website is gone; the copies held here were recovered from print editions and web archives, and in several cases are the only surviving version of the article. Preserving them is the point.

Photographs, illustrations, and page layouts reproduced from print editions remain the property of their respective photographers, illustrators, and publishers. They appear here as part of the record of the published article, credited wherever the original credit survived.

This work appeared under three names over the years — Barbi Walker, Barbi Walker-Walsh, and Barbi Walsh. They are all the same writer. Each piece records the byline it actually ran under.
